Master Gears
Western Pegasus offers a full line of helical and spur master gears, rolling and setting masters for inspection and production applications. As with our complete spline gauge line, Master Gears are designed and built to AGMA, DIN, BS and other international standards.
Master Gears are available to the following specifications:

- Face Width: 100mm Max
- Helix Angle: 0-45
- Module: 10 Mod — 0.4 Mod
- Diametral Pitch: 2.54 DP — 63.5 DP

GAUGE MATERIAL OPTIONS
The best gauges start with the most appropriate material in each use case. Let us know what you need or allow our engineers to recommend the best options.
WPS – Oil hardening tool steel hardened to Rc 60-62
WPX – A powdered metal high speed steel hardened to Rc 62-64; noted for its higher wear resistance without sacrificing toughness. Recommended for high frequency gauges.
WPZ – A powdered metal high speed steel hardened to Rc 64-66; extremely high wear resistance and moderate toughness. Recommended for master gears.
